Equetech 25th Anniversary "Real Riders" Competition Winners

Some of you may have seen recent social media posts announcing the winners of our "Equetech Real Riders Competition." Our aim was to engage "Real Riders" throughout the Equetech community and beyond to join with us in celebrating our 25 years in business. The competition offered four winners the opportunity to feature in a very special photoshoot to mark this significant moment with one of the four winners featuring in the brands #equetechrealrider campaign. Running this competition through our social media posts and website, three of the winners were to be chosen from entries submitted directly to our MD, Liz Hayman. However, one further winner would be chosen from the competition run in conjunction with Horse and Rider Magazine.

So who are the winners?

Having entered via Horse and Rider Magazine, Rowena Day became the first of our winners to be notified. Upon finding out she was a winner, Rowena said "I'm flabbergasted; things like this just don't happen to me! This really gives me a boost in what recently has been a low point in my life. I've been a fan of both Equetech and Horse & Rider magazine for a long time; I feel ecstatic to be given the chance to be a part of the #equetechrealriders campaign. PONY magazine was a horsey lifeline for me growing up as a pony mad child but without access to my own! I had all the posters on the walls of my bedroom. Equetech has been a firm favourite of mine over the last thirteen years of horse ownership especially the active jodhpurs. I can't wait to take part in the campaign and enjoy wearing the clothes I've won. "

Within their entry, the remaining three winners, Tracy Caldwell, Tamasine Thompson and Lissie Britten, each wrote very candid accounts of their love of their horses, the trials and tribulations encountered as horse owners, their goals and why they consider themselves "Real Riders." Upon being notified, all three expressed their genuine surprise, how overwhelmed they are at being chosen and how much they are looking forward to the photoshoot and being part of the #equetechrealriders campaign.
